Supporting neurodiverse talent to find their edge

We partner with trading and technology firms to deliver specialist coaching, helping neurodivergent talent to consistently perform at their best whilst lowering the risk of burnout.

Built on experience, driven by results

Convexity Coaching was founded to address a critical gap in the trading industry: specialist coaching for neurodiverse professionals, designed specifically around how they think, process and perform at their best.

What we do

Systems-Led Neurodiversity Coaching

Neurodivergent professionals rarely lack ability. What they often lack are working systems designed for how their brains actually function. This is where traditional Executive Coaching often overlooks this critical gap. It assumes the underlying architecture works the same as everyone else's: Define goals, agree actions, hold the individual accountable, and execution follows.

For non-linear thinkers, it's precisely that architecture which is impacted by the executive functions operating differently. No amount of goal-setting or accountability can fix a system that wasn't designed for the brain operating it. Which is why so many neurodivergent professionals have experienced coaching that simply didn't stick.

A system is not what you do, it's what organises what you do: the internal architecture of identity, emotional and neurobiological layers that determines whether ability converts into consistency. When that architecture is misaligned with how neurodiverse brains actually work, the result is procrastination, inconsistency and, eventually, burnout.

Our Systems-led coaching works on that architecture directly. We take each individual through four stages: understanding their own wiring, designing performance systems around it, clearing the blocks that undermine consistency, and protecting sustained performance over the long term - all within a framework built specifically for traders and engineers from our own first-hand experience.

"I really wish I knew Cameron earlier in my career. He is a wonderful person and coach. He helped me tremendously in learning about my condition (ADHD) and how to cope with difficult situations in my daily work and life. Cameron is bright, patient, empathetic and methodical. I would really recommend Cameron if you want to become a better version of yourself."

Meet the Founder

Hello, I am Cameron Marett, Founder of Convexity Coaching.

As a highly qualified ADHD Coach with extensive experience of working with neurodivergent individuals, I draw upon both my professional experience and personal insight in my work. For over a decade I worked within the trading industry, working with some of the sharpest minds around, operating in high-performing, high-pressure environments.

Despite my outward success, internally I often felt like I was running uphill - which eventually led to a burnout, from which came a life-changing 2e diagnosis in my mid-thirties.

That journey brought with it a realisation that there was a critical gap in the trading industry. Despite hiring significantly higher rates of neurodivergent talent (studies suggest 20-40% of engineers are neurodiverse), most firms lack the understanding and coaching to support non-linear employees to thrive. The result? Burnout rates 50%+ higher than neurotypical peers, and the highest potential going untapped.

I know from first hand experience that the fix isn't simply a question of more effort or better habits; it's coaching and systems designed around neurodivergent cognition from the outset. That conviction became Convexity's systems-led framework - a structured, evidence-based approach to convert neurodivergent potential into sustained performance.

FAQs

We’ve compiled answers to the most common questions clients ask about our approach and results.

How does your coaching differ from traditional executive coaching?

Traditional executive coaching is built on neurotypical assumptions about how that individual's operating system already works, and coaching just needs to sharpen goals, skills or accountability. But for neurodiverse professionals, that premise is false: the executive functions governing attention, planning, motivation and follow-through are precisely what operate differently. Neurotypical solutions do not work on neurodiverse brains in the long-term.

Neurodiversity coaching starts from understanding how the executive function challenges impact the individual. Coaching focuses on building clarity and self-understanding as a first step. Only from there can we then begin to build the systems and strategies to help manage the challenges.

So, whilst Executive Coaching focuses on work-related skills and goals, neurodiversity coaching focuses on the executive function skills, which are often impacted by the brain's different wiring. Coaching helps individuals to build their own systems and strategies that work specifically with how their brain works.

What do you mean by Framework and Systems led coaching?

A system is not what you do, it's what organises what you do: the internal architecture that determines behaviour before a single action is taken.

In neurodivergent individuals, that architecture is built from three interconnected layers — identity, the emotional layer (the motivation architecture that determines what actually gets attention and effort), and the neurobiological layer (the fixed constraints of executive function and dopamine dysregulation that behaviour has to operate within).

These layers don't work independently.

Identity determines which behaviours feel possible; the emotional layer determines which tasks receive enough drive to get started; the neurobiological layer sets the hard limits both have to work inside. When they're misaligned, the result is often procrastination, inconsistency or burnout. Not because the person lacks capability, but because the system is fighting itself.

Our framework works through all three layers in sequence, addressing each of the executive functions affected as we go.

That's the structural difference between systems-led coaching and every approach that starts and ends at behaviour: we don't ask someone to override a system that's fighting them. We rebuild the system so it doesn't have to.

How is this different from other neurodiversity training providers?

From our experience, most neurodiversity provision on the market is based on awareness training - valuable for shifting understanding, but not built to change performance.

Convexity is different by design. Our foundation is one-to-one coaching, developed specifically for high-performance, high-pressured environments of the trading world. The framework delivers coaching in a structure and language that were built to specifically resonate with traders and engineers - not adapted from a generic corporate wellbeing programme.

Do you work with individuals, teams, or the whole organisation?

Whilst the core of our work is individual coaching, we look to partner with firms on an organisational level and work with them to build truly neuro-inclusive cultures, where support from the individual comes from the top. This dual approach means neurodivergent professionals aren't just building better systems in isolation, they're operating within organisations that genuinely understand and support how they work; and that the gains made in individual coaching are reinforced by the systems and managers around that person, not undone by them.

To that end, we work with HR Leaders, Team Managers and C-Suite, offering Leadership training, HR advisory and Workshops.

What does a typical engagement look like and how is the coaching delivered?

We deliberately look to partner with organisations who are committed to creating neuroinclusive cultures, through annual retained agreements rather than one-off individual coaching engagements.

We believe real, lasting change comes from two directions: supporting individuals to redesign their personal systems, whilst simultaneously helping firms create more inclusive, neurodiversity-informed cultures.

Fundamentally however, we understand that coaching is not a linear process, with a one-size fits all approach. It's a very personal journey, where individuals grow at different rates and need different levels of support at different times. Our commitment to supporting growth should not be determined by the number of sessions purchased.

Instead, we deliberately operate through annual retained partnerships, allowing both ourselves and our clients to be able to take a long-term view, in order to deliver an approach which ensures sustainable transformation rather than short-term fixes.

Coaching sessions are delivered either in-person (or remotely, depending on location), ensuring that we can work with talent wherever your teams are based. We provide extra support and structure through an online platform to assist the individuals in preparing for the sessions and completing follow-up work.
